Ladies, do you ever get nervous about meeting new women. I find that I’m always nervous about meeting new groups of women. This is due in part to not always being embraced as a stranger but mostly because we do not always make one another feel welcomed. This has been on my heart for a while. And as a progressive and positive, purpose driven black woman, I feel compelled to bring this to you.
I really believe the title of this blog speaks volumes. We are all born with special talents and gifts. We all possess an innate intelligence and amazing brilliance that is completely separate from anyone else except maybe your identical twin.
So why is it that we cannot appreciate another woman’s good fortune? If you find this post offensive, then perhaps you should examine why it irritates you.
If you have ever found yourself rolling your eyes when another woman comes in the room and draws attention – then this post is for you.
If you have ever found yourself irrationally pissed off because another attractive or beautiful woman, in your circle or outside of your circle is doing the most and proud of her accomplishments – then this post is for you.
If you don’t like her because her presence lights up the room and her confidence is off the charts….well yep this is definitely for you Sweetie.
Here’s what you have forgotten while you were busy hating. Apparently you have forgotten your own greatness. Let me remind you of who you are. You are a beautiful, talented woman, mother, sister, girlfriend, wife, child of the most high God. And that alone is ENOUGH!!!
Stop wasting your time scrolling people’s Social Media pages, getting emotionally driven enough to create fake profiles and slander another woman because they feel good about themselves. LET HER BE GREAT!!!
I could go on but I don’t think that helps. I only wanted to reach out to you and tell you that you are a Queen. You can do anything that you want. Nothing is holding you back. If you want to write a book, record an album, become a model, or simply be the best mother or wife, whatever you are today; you are still great.
We must really challenge ourselves, our children, even our family members to stop backbiting and tearing one another down. We must adopt a sense of sisterhood. I AM MY SISTER’S KEEPER!
Lastly, never compare yourself to anyone else. God made you perfect. Of course there is always room to upgrade and improve but you are good enough just because you were born. The moral of this message is to recognize negativity when it rears it’s nasty ass little head and keep it moving. Together we will always be strong and a force to be reckoned with. But if we scrapping, hating, and tearing one another down, we will never present a united front.
I’m gone always tell you because I love you. I would expect you to check me if I’m wrong also.
You are Loved
